'WINGS OF FIRE' - A review

"Wings of fire" is an autobiography of APJ Abdul Kalam. This book covers his life before becoming the President of India. It consists of his family background, the pain and sufferings he had gone throughout his life before he became successful.

He was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, India. He came from a very humble background. In this book, he gives minute details of his life. He talks about the struggles that he had to go through because of his financial instability.

Dr. Kalam is not only famous for being a scientist and the President of our country, but also as a teacher who loved teaching and a writer as well. Even after a lot of failures and dejection in life, he never gave up on his dreams.

The Government of India has honored him with Padma Bhushan in 1981 and Padma Vibhushan in 1990 for his contribution and work with ISRO and DRDO, and in 1997 he was honored with Bharat Ratna Award for his contribution to scientific research and modernization of defense technology.

The best inspiration I got from his autobiography is self-belief, and never giving up on your dreams. One should keep trying until you get success and achieve your goals. No matter how many times you fail in life, always remember to rise, spread your wings and fly very high.
