Hindus faith

We hindus have so much faith in our God. We have a habit to pray and worship our God in every situation. From asking for strength in hard times to thanking them in our good times. We have many rituals and beliefs. We worship cows as Goddess Lakshmi and "khukhuri" as our religious weapon.

Now, I am going to tell you a real story about "khukhuri". We always keep it in our worshipping room and worship it also. About 4 or 5 years ago, my grandfather told me a story which he heard from his father after I requested him.         He started,                                                                    "We lived in a small 'nepali' house. Two floors and made up of wood and to go ton top floor you need to go up with the help of stairs.           When I was a small toddler, there was a time when there would be continous knock at the door every new moon and full moon night. It went like that for many months. Every time my father went out to check, when he opened the door, there would be no one outside.

Fed up with this, he decides to stay up at a full moon night and end this process. He hold the 'khukuri' at stayed near the door. He was brave. Suddenly, around 1 AM, there came a knock at the door. He immediately opened it, and was aboutto attack whoever was outside. He saw a women wearing a white cloth, her body almost transparent. When she saw the 'khukuri' in his hands, she screamed in horror and started to run. He ran behind her abd till that time she faded in the dark. Then he returned home. After that day, we never faced that problem again". With this, he ended his story.

This story shows the power of our beliefs in 'khukuri' and I know you all also came to know about our culture and tradition, why we keep it in our sacred place and why we also sees it as our worshipping object.
